A section below is in Bullets style. Maintain Quick Style colors, fonts and sizes for optimal readability. These styles follow Extension’s new identity and branding standards and should be used throughout the document.

Heading 4 Style: Note About Header and FooterWhen viewing in MS Word, the header and footer appear lighter than they are. To see the actual color, you can click within the header and footer areas. Actual color will also appear when the document is printed or converted to a .pdf document.

PHOTOSPhotos and images are powerful, emotional and effective tools for helping us express our brand and how Extension makes a difference in Minnesota. When using photos, always select images that are high-quality and look professional. Never use low-quality photos (i.e. low resolution that displays the photo poorly) or clip art.

PHOTO GUIDELINESUse the following photo guidelines when selecting photos to ensure that you are supporting Extension’s brand and photographic style: Strong use of candid photography, where subjects are engaged in interaction or tasks at

hand. Perspective should primarily be “first person.” The goal is for the audience to feel like

they’re sharing in that moment. Use of natural light whenever possible.

INSERTING PHOTOSTo replace the pictures that exist in this document, right click on the picture and select Change Picture. Use the file browser to find the picture you want to insert into your document, select the image and click Insert. The new picture will have all of the same formatting from the previous picture, so it will be easy to move around in the document to place and resize as needed.
