Dear Parents/Carers. We love being secretive and are really enjoying helping the children make some beautiful things to bring home for Christmas (that word that must not be spoken…yet). We do still try to keep to our routine as much as possible and we try not to get too excited! In January we will be starting an All About Me topic. We would love the children to bring in a 6x4 photograph of themselves with their family. We will be thinking about keeping ourselves clean and healthy and testing our skills that help us to do this. We will be learning more about our emotions and thinking about how we are the same and different and how great that is! Welcome We welcome Rachel to the Southernwood team. She is completing her NVQ3 and is very happy to be working with our children. Rachel’s mum, Paula, used to work here at the nursery many years ago so we’re keeping it in the family! Funding If you are eligible for funding, your funding form is attached. Please fill in the box that asks for your child’s birth certificate number or your other proof of age as well as information in the grey box. Please do ask if you are unsure. Thanks … For naming clothes etc. It is also really helping that you send children in with a really warm coat as we do like to get outside no matter how cold it is! A reminder … Morning sessions start at 8.30am, afternoon sessions at 12.30 or 1.30pm and we close at 5.30pm. Please try not to be early as numbers/Ofsted regulations in the nursery can be compromised and occasionally we do have to ask you to wait. We are sorry when we have to do this.
