How do you use technology to manage what you do?

What to do when you are “typing challenged” and the world is just one continuous networker after another with business cards that seem to stack up on your desktop.
A business card scanner (CardScan 800C) will speed up the entry of your information to Microsoft Outlook, Goldmine, ACT and others.
It will also help to prepare you for building your e-mail distribution list for client marketing.
Using Microsoft Outlook to manage your Contacts
Once business cards are scanned into Outlook, or any other contact manager, you can begin to categorize what type of business people are in to better manage them as an “at a glance resource.”
A Notes section is also a good way to transfer anything you may have jotted down on their card when you met the person; for later referral.
When your E-mail comes in….are you there to receive it…

The Internet age means returning calls and e-mails beyond the 9-5, M-F, and not just when you’re at the office, house, beach, etc. Get connected with a Blackberry or other SmartPhone device
When you send out e-mail to a group…..

• Don’t forget to send using BCC:
When you send an e-mail, you ARE advertising….your company.
You can attach an “electronic business card” from Outlook to make it easier for others to add you into their Outlook contact list…..AND it goes a long way to being “green-er” - with no paper to waste.
Electronic Business cards can contain brochures, contact information, pictures and diagrams. What’s more – once saved with your picture attached, every e-mail you send to people will have your picture on it and will associate your face with your business e-mail – no longer a disconnect…..

your incoming and outgoing e-mails.
You may not meet someone in person….
• So your image – the way you present with in:• Printed brochures• Promotional items• How you use the technology to communicate
