Nestled at the foot of the Pentland Hills, just twenty minutes outside of Edinburgh, The Secret Herb Garden offers a truly unique and utterly magical setting for your special day.
Offering complete flexibility for couples looking for an alternative to the traditional ‘pick a package’ style wedding, the breath-taking glasshouse and surrounding herb garden can host up to 80 guests for a ceremony and reception.
With exclusive use of the space, surrounded by luscious greenery, aromatic herbs and stunning blooms, your guests will be transported to another world, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Our dry-hire venue rental, means that you are completely free to pick your own suppliers, allowing you to create the perfect day, to suit your vision and budget.

What’s Included?
• Full use of gardens and glasshouse for ceremony and reception from 4.30pm -11.45pm on the day of your wedding, access to setup available from the day before by prior arrangement.
• Rustic wooden tables and assorted vintage chairs • Access to vintage furniture and props to help style your day • Power, lighting & toilet facilities for your guests • Kitchen space for your appointed caterer • Site manager to help ensure smooth running of the day • Use of our ‘Tub’ dressing room for wedding party preparations

Additional Information
We are based in an area filled with beautiful natural wildlife and livestock, to respect our environment and neighbours, we are unable to host amplified music at the venue. We can suggest a number of excellent acoustic performers, ceilidh bands and silent disco providers who can help to ensure the dance floor is full throughout the night. All Guests must also depart from the site by midnight to ensure minimal disruption to our surroundings.

Our cafe pastry chef can create a beautiful cake table for your wedding day, incorporating many of the beautiful fresh herbs and flowers grown right here at the Secret Herb Garden. Prices start from £175.00 for a tiered wedding cake and £200.00 for a cake table featuring 5 different cakes.
GIN FAVOURS & DISTILLERY TOURS
Our award winning ‘Secret Garden gin is made right here on site in our barn. Incorporate one of our beautiful miniature bottles into your wedding as a favour, priced at £5.50 each or why not include the option of a distillery tour for your guests during your drinks reception, priced at £15.00 per person.
