Wednesday 17th May, 2017 Dear Pupil, This is your official invitation to Prom 2017. It will be a fantastic night for staff and students, and a great way to bring the curtain down on your Bridgewater High School career. The Prom venue is The Pavillion Suite at Chester Race Course and they will be ready to receive us from 6.45pm on Thursday 29th June. All guests will need to travel on school coaches as unofficial vehicles are not permitted on site. On the evening of the 29th June you will be required to assemble on London Road by the upper site playing fields from 6pm. Coaches will be leaving the school at 6:15pm prompt so to ensure a smooth start to the evening please be on time. On the prom notice board you will find your coach number (coaches will be numbered 1-6), your table number and your meal selection – Main meal or Vegetarian option. On the evening many parents and friends come along to take pictures and wave the coaches off, but please be aware that London Road at 6pm is a very busy road and we will need to be extra vigilant of vehicles driving past the coaches. Parking is also limited as the six coaches will need to park along London Road for the 6pm pick up time. At the venue only soft drinks will be available to purchase due to strict UK licensing laws. Anyone who arrives at the coach pick up point under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to board the coach and subsequently will not go to the prom. Likewise anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol in the venue will be collected by a parent. In the many years of the school celebrating the year 11 Prom this has not happened.
