The Oak Street Business District will hold the 1st Annual (Oak)toberfest Sept. 17th from 5-7:30 p.m. and Friday & Saturday, Sept. 18th & 19th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shops and boutiques will be decorated for fall and open for fabulous fall shopping, eating and drinking. They will be hosting a variety of handmade craft and food vendors along the sidewalks Thursday evening though Saturday. Winding Road will be hosting Fall Market @ (Oak)toberfest, stuffing the store with the latest fall decor, gifts, candles and natural soap and essential oil products. A selection of new furniture in the showroom lots of new designs from crafters as well as a line of clean, refillable dish soap, laundry detergent, liquid hand soap and glass cleaner. Gates open at 3 p.m. and the competi- tion starts at 6 p.m. Cost $5 per person. Proceeds will go towards lifesaving equipment and training of our Rural Firefighters. Picnic area available in Railroad Park, weather permit- ting. Vendors on parking lot include NurseServ.LLC owner Jennifer Riggs, RN will be taking FREE blood pres- sure checks and fall risk screenings; Burnett Custom Wood Crafts wooden signs, birdhouse, etc; Ed Williams sheet, throw and pillows; Wolf Designs leather earrings, hairbows, etc; Fly Wheel Ice Cream; Sheana Wilcox Lilla Rose products, hair accessories and Jewelry & Papa’s Krunch Kettle Corn. The Moniteau County Cattlemen’s Association will be serving steak sandwiches at Village Green Shopping Center from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cost $7.00. California Eagles Aerie #4027 Auxiliary will serve the traditional Ham Breakfast at their new building from 7-9 a.m. Curbside and carry out! You can drive up to the front and pick up your food. Cost is $9.00 for Ham, Sausage, Eggs, Biscuit & Gravy, Coffee, Juice or Milk. Also they will hold a Corn Hole tournament $10 to participate. A band will provide entertainment. They will have a Bake Sale, Hot Dogs, Pulled Pork Sandwich with Chips, Soda and Bottled Water. The Social Room will be open for viewing and they will be serving a full bar! Open House New Beginnings Church 401 S. Oak St. will be selling Lolly Waffles (waffle on a stick). Flavors include: Pumpkin, Apple Cinnamon, Strawberry Lemonade, Plain with your choice of topping, and Pizza Waffles filled with cheese and served with marinara. The cost is $2.00 and will be serving on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 5-7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will have kids games for all ages on Satur- day. Tickets are $1 each and each person receives a small prize. Proceeds from these events go to The Salty C.R.E.W Youth Group. Also a game booth will be hosted by New Beginnings Church to benefit the purchase of diapers from the Diaper Bank of the Ozarks. These diapers are given to local families during the churches month diaper distribution. Just $4.00 supplies a family with 50 diapers. For ANY donation, you can try for a chance to toss the TP.
