Page 3: Week 5 - Merging in to the Pavan

• The purpose of or life is to meet God

– We can’t see God as ourselves because

thoughts great waves which overwhelm the

mind and make it lost

– We must anchor the mind

• Why? To learn to play the Game!

– This is a Game of Love and is played Day and

Night

– You can not win the Game until you get

Namm which you purchases with your Swas.

You created the play of duality, and staged it.73

Page 8: Week 5 - Merging in to the Pavan

Why are we travelers/ guest

• Maya is NOT our home

• Nothing stays with us, nothing goes with us

• Nothing is permanent here

• Where we go when we Sleep is where we go when we die.

• If you’re a guest, behave in such a way that when you go back to talk about what you did you can be proud of your actions.

• This game is played with Pavan

• Time is dictated by the Swas (life breath)

• Swas is our Capital

• Winners know how to control their thoughts all day and walk away with a profit

Teams

• Atam Rai

• DharmRaj aka; DharmRai, YamRaj

• ChitrGupat

DR- Does all the accounting, advocates to God on your behalf, and will take you to God’s Court when you die (if you cant do it)

ChitrGupat record all your thoughts both conscious and subconscious and how you spend your capital.

• Kall

• 3 qualities of Maya

Kall has power over everything in Maya. He has no power over Namm.

He uses the duths as emissaries to give you thoughts. They take many roles and try to have you waste your capital preventing you from winning. Maya is false capital; in an instant, its false covering falls off. 510

Page 16: Week 5 - Merging in to the Pavan

Players (2)

multiple roles Husband, Father, Son,

Why we lose

Like the gambler losing the game of

chance, you are held in the power of

sensory desires. ||1||212

They are not cleansed of the filth of their ego

within; without the Guru, they lose the

game of life. 495

Page 19: Week 5 - Merging in to the Pavan

Why we lose

Elephants, horses, gold, children and spouses -

in the anxious affairs of all these, people lose

the game and depart.222

The disguisers put on their various disguises.

Desire rages within them, and they carry on

egotistically. They do not understand

themselves, and they lose the game of life. 230

Page 20: Week 5 - Merging in to the Pavan

The world is a drama, staged in a dream.

In a moment, the play is played out. 18

Page 21: Week 5 - Merging in to the Pavan

How do we win?

Those who chant the Naam look

beautiful; they obtain the fruit of peace.

Those who believe in the Name win the

game of life.438

Merchants or Traders

As merchants or Traders what we do is we use our Capital (our breath) to buy thoughts. Its fine to spend your breaths on thoughts but you cannot over extend your self. At the end of your day/ or end of the life you must walk away being able to deposit a profit. This bank account where profitable breaths are deposited are in Nirgun.

If you’re a Merchant you should be the most profitable.

Trade to make a Profit

There are just as many traders as there are living beings.

The shops are open, and trading is going on; whoever

comes there, is bound to depart. The Righteous Judge of Dharma is the broker, who gives his sign of approval. O Nanak,

those who earn the profit of the Naam are accepted and

approved. And when they return home, they are greeted with cheers; they obtain the glorious greatness of the True Name. ||1||789

My dealings are with the Saints, and my business is with the Saints. I have earned the profit with the Saints, and the treasure filled to over-flowing with devotion to the Lord.

The Saints entrusted to me the capital, and my mind's delusion was dispelled. What can the Righteous Judge of Dharma do now? All my accounts have been torn up. ||3||614

As an Observer

• We see how people live.

• What are there motivations.

• How they act towards efforts.

• How they deal with adversity.

• Who they rely on for support.

Page 28: Week 5 - Merging in to the Pavan

You Yourself evaluate the players. ||5|| 1020

plays, and watches them.998

Homework

DO SIMRAN! 3 hours a day minimum.

Explain the game to one person this week who doesn’t know it.

Work on remembering God with every breath.

Categorize all your thoughts by percentages as you did last week but do it so its every 8 hours. Set the alarm and calculate.

Mark which days were profitable.

Before you speak think in it needs to be said.

Before you think, think if it needs to be thought. Make sure your breath is balanced all day.

Anytime you see someone see them and try to treat them as you would speak or act towards God.

Remember the Reth of the Mind.
