THE MATCHING GRANT appeal is moving well! More than 116 generous parishioners, as well as many anonymous givers, have donated over $41,336.92 to help renew the playground/parking lot. Thanks so much to each of you who have been so kind in responding to this opportunity.

BREAKFAST AT KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS #1948 - The KC is hosting their next 5th Sunday Breakfast on June 29th from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. The meal will include eggs, bacon, ham, Italian sausage, pancakes, fried potatoes, fresh biscuits with sausage SOS, and fresh fruit. All you can eat. There will also be coffee, tea, and OJ. All this for only $10 each; kids under 12 free. The KC Hall is at 270 Rianda St. Call Don for more info 449-5593.

HOMELESS CHILDREN - Simple things for many of us are difficult for those with no home, especially children. They may not have extra clothes, especially underwear and socks. We have laundry baskets in the front entry of the church to receive your donations when you come to Mass. We’ll be collecting them during the summer months and then giving them to needy students in our city when the new school year begins. Thank you for your help.

Thanks also to your team’s leaders whose tireless efforts, along with your community’s kindness have enabled us to fulfill our mission to unite children with their parents in state prison. Through GOTB, a program of Center for Restorative Justice Works, over 1,100 children across the state were able to have a special reunion with their mothers and fathers this past year. The best way to express the good that your gift helped to bring about is through the voice of children who benefited from your generosity. These lines are taken from a letter sent to us by a 10-year old participant the day after a trip. I got to see my mom and I haven’t seen her in three years an I miss her and I love her and I’m glad that the bus brought me to see her and I hope I see her again. I love my mom. Thank you.
