Rs 246cr CWG broadcast deal is transparent: Doordarshan DG

The deal has been done following all the process of government and General Finance Rules (GFR) and with proper approval by the competent authority.

Rejecting allegations of corruption, Doordarshan claimed that the Rs 246 crore contract with a British firm to telecast CWG was "transparent" and as per government rules.

Sources said the company was allegedly trying to evade taxes to the tune of Rs 29 crore.

Accenture names Pierre Nanterme CEO, replacing William D Green

Accenture has named Pierre Nanterme as the new chief executive officer, replacing William D Green effective January 1, 2011.

Nanterme currently serves as group chief executive of Accenture's global Financial Services operating group and has been associated with Accenture for 27 years.

Green would continue to play a key role and be actively involved in Accenture's business.

Will continue to chair the board of directors, act as an advisor to Nanterme, and be involved in planning Accenture's long-term business strategy.

B M Munjal family retains rights to Hero Group

The family led by B M Munjal a, owners of the Indian promoter's stake in Hero Honda, will be officially known as the Hero Group, following the division of the $4.2 billion group.

After the settlement, Hero Honda, Hero Corporate Services , Rockman Cycles Industries , Hero Mindmine Institute, Easy Bill and Hero Management Service have gone to family of B M Munjal.

While other entities such as Hero Cycles, Hero Motors and Munjal Sales Corporation went to O P Munjal.

The members of late Dayanand Munjal, represented by his son Vijay Munjal are now the owners of Hero Exports, Hero Electric, Hero Cycles (Unit II) and Sunbeam Auto.
