A t BI we believe that socializing and exciting happenings should go hand in hand with learning

and effective study techniques. The formula for being a successful student at BI includes the ability to maintain a healthy balance between studies and leisure. We therefore encourage you to include both social and academic expe-rience in your time schedule.

The Buddy Week at BI in Oslo, which go by the name of “Fadderullan» (a “fadder” is a buddy), are organized by SBIO (the Student Welfare Organisa-tion at BI in Oslo).

Allthough “Fadderullan» and the official Orientation Week program at BI are not interconnected, there will be no overlap between “Fadderullan”

and BI events and activities during the first week, to ensure that the students may participate in both. Make yourself familiar with the Orientation Week program, which is available on our website and through the BI app.

We trust that the Orientation Week

will be one of your lifetime experiences while being a student at BI. Concerts, new friends, inspiring and exciting subjects and the beginning of your future - all of this is expecting you in August.

We look forward to welcoming you at BI!

Join the Buddy Week Fadderullan and get your network started.

ADVICEfor a successful startupPARTICIPATE IN THE BUDDY WEEK EVENTS! In the Orientation week all students will be assembled in buddy groups, in which they will get acquainted with fellow students. Making new friends and connecting with study partners early in the semester is really a smart way to facilitate and enhance your student workdays.

STAY FOCUSED ON WHY YOU ARE HERE! There will be many exciting activities the first weeks. Remind yourself that the main purpose of your stay at BI is to study and get prepared for the future. Check your schedule and make it a priority to attend official events.

STUDY SMART! Apply good study techniques right from the start. Many freshmen are unfamiliar with the requirements for how to be a successful student. Study Smart is a free-of-charge course that provides this type of training. Do not miss this course.

EXPLORE THE CAMPUS!BI Oslo is a top modern teaching building. Make yourself familiar with the building and the accessible facilities - this will be a daily arena for the next few years.

CHECK YOUR DAILY SCHEDULE! From now on, the BI schedule will be an important part of your every-day life. Check each day and be prepared for whatever is scheduled. You can also check your schedule by means of your cell phone.

«BE BETTER» WITH YOUR SEMINAR GROUP!BI encourages all students to cooperate in groups. For this purpose, we will put together 3 sponsor groups, which add up to one work group called «seminar group». You will meet this group on a regular basis and for all you know, these fellow students may come to be part of your professional network in the future.

ENJOY EVERY DAY! We encourage you to engage actively in the events, which take place during Orientation week. Familiarize, engage and activate yourself in the imminent possibilities, and most of all – enjoy every day!
