This meeting celebrates the 25th anniversary of the European Society of Urogenital Radiology. The founding general assembly took place in Sven Dorph’s garden on August 26th 1990, where a meeting about the future of European Uroradiology was held the day before the start of the second Copenhagen Uroradiology Symposium. Time has shown that the participants (Sven Dorph, Lee B. Talner, Leena Kivisaari, Judith A.W. Webb, Ludovico Dalla Palma, Jean-Francois Moreau, Paddy O’Reilly, Jarl Å. Jakobsen, Raymond Oyen and Henrik S. Thomsen) made the right decision.

Almost 500 participants from all over the world have found their way to Copenhagen for ESUR 2015 and we received more than 140 free commu-nications. This shows the strength of and the need for a society like the European Society of Urogenital Radiology.

I am pleased as chairman of ESUR 2015 to welcome you to this special meeting. The ESUR working groups have organized the sessions address-ing their topics. The workshops and small room sessions have been organized by the moderators of these sessions. Thank you all for your great work. A particular thank you goes to the organizers of the special teaching sessions on Wednesday and the film reading session on Saturday, and to our Japanese and Korean colleagues for the very valuable sessions they have organized. I know that my list is incomplete, but I want to thank everyone who has contributed to ESUR 2015. Without your input this meeting would not have been possible.

Enjoy Copenhagen.

Henrik S. ThomsenChairman ESUR2015Professor of Radiology, University of Copenhagen
