Athletic Therapy: Services
• Clinical Assessment and Rehabilitation – Athletic Therapy & Physiotherapy (part-time)• Massage Therapy• Sports Medicine• Orthopedic referrals• Student trainers• Pre/post event care when clinic is open• Concussion management• Anti-Doping support• Braces/other retail equipment
Queen’s Therapy Zone: Varsity Club Athletes:
EXTENDED HEALTH COVERAGE
• ALL varsity club athletes that are on an active eligibility list for their respective club sport are able to have clinical service provided to them at the same rate as other varsity athletes.
• Each Athletic Therapy clinical visit will be charged a subsidized varsity rate of $30 at the time of service. The AMS & SGPS Extended Health Insurance Plan currently covers Athletic Therapy services at a rate of $30/session.
• IT IS IMPORTANT THAT VARSITY ATHLETES RETAIN AMS/SGPS HEALTH INSURANCE PLANS THAT ARE CURRENTLY INCLUDED WITHIN STUDENT FEES.
• A receipt will be issued that you can send to your extended health coverage insurance plan for possible reimbursement.
• If you have decided to opt-out of the AMS/SGPS Health Insurance Plans, please ensure that your personal extended health coverage has ATHLETIC THERAPY coverage, so that you can submit receipts for reimbursement.

What will you be charged for?• A subsidized varsity athlete rate will be charged for each clinical
appointment (assessment or rehabilitation) with the• Certified Athletic Therapists• Massage Therapy services subject to standard fees
There will be NO CHARGE for the following items• Pre-event taping• First aid• Brace consultations (cost of brace is billable)• Concussion evaluations or re-evaluations• Use of ice/cold tubs• Physician appointments (bill will go through normal health care system)

Alumni Engagement & Fundraising
The Advancement Department can help you engage your alumni and solicit donations from alumni & parents.
We will be having a presentation for all varsity club coaches/presidents on Monday September 28th at 6:00 pm in the Athletics Boardroom – 2nd Floor of ARC which will provide information on the following: Communications - Best Practices For Communicating with Alumni Fundraising - What is the Champions Club? Other fundraising options? What is
the difference - Sponsorships vs Donations? What are Gifts in Kind? What I need to know about Tax Receipts.
Events - Planning alumni events and utilizing Homecoming. Booster Clubs - How do I start a booster club? How can booster clubs help?
Handbook and Resource for coaches and boosters. Online Giving - How to let your alumni know where to give online. Stewardship - The importance of saying thank you. Ways Advancement can help you.
If you are interested in doing any fundraising with your alumni you are encouraged to attend the meeting (if unavailable we are happy to sit down with you one on one).

• One of my “how to be more efficient” goals for this year is to not fill out another Purchase Order Form or Deposit Form.

• Wufoo: review of the online travel form process – new 2015 link
• Itinerary & rooming/travel party list deadline - tentative list to give to hotel upon receipt of Wufoo would be appreciated
• Process for travel advances – to be signed for upon pick up and return to Travel Coordinator (return within 48 hours)
• Pre-approval required for Hwy 407 usage
• McCoy Bus Service: Wi-Fi & wrapped-bus assignment protocol evenly shared between all Teams and Clubs
• Driver Authorization/Validation Process $2.00 (Valid May 1st until Apr 30th the following year-must be renewed yearly)
• Trip Kits & copy of Queen’s Insurance will be in all Dixon’s vehicles
