Dear NVC Student Leadership Fall 2021 Cohort,

You have done an incredible job navigating the twists and turns during a global pandemic and I know it has not

been easy, but I am proud of your resilience and persistence pressing forward in your goal of earning your

college degree. I hope everyone is happy, healthy, and ready to engage in this fall's virtual leadership series.

This leadership cohort is designed as a program to develop student leaders, create connections with industry

leaders, build career skills, network within the community, and encourage active citizenship. Additionally, this

program affords students, business/civic industry leaders and college leaders to discuss leadership topics such

as, yet not limited to emotional intelligence, diversity, learning from failure and staying motivated.

Though each one of you will have varying levels, knowledge, and skills pertaining to leadership, this program is

designed to help each one of you advance to the next level- no matter where you are in your journey! Let

companies such as Dell, Genesis Professional Solutions, Bank of San Antonio, HR Professionals, CPS Energy,

Kinsman Insurance, Frost Bank and GM Financial enhance your journey.

Through this program, you will get to know industry leaders, meet your peers and expand your leadership

capacity through individual and group reflection. In addition, you will receive tangible items to include

EXPERIENCE credit for trainings completed, a program completion certificate, access to NVC's Student Job

Board, essential skills that can be added to your resume, and assistance with your resume and interview

skills. You will also be eligible to earn a financial award for completion of the program requirements!

I look forward to hearing about your experiences and supporting your continued growth and I thank you for

choosing NVC as your higher education institution.

Best Wishes,

Northwest Vista College President
