Congratulations to Klein ISD for 75 years of educating our kids. I am looking
forward to an awesome year exploring 6th grade Math concepts!
Students are expected to come to class prepared and ready to
work every day. Each student is expected to follow all class
procedures and rules.
Students need to bring the following supplies to class everyday:
1. Pencil and pen
2. Spiral/composition notebook (will stay in room)
3. Folder w/brads & pockets for workbook
4. Hand sharpener
Daily grades count as 30% and will consist of weekly warm-ups (colored sheet), independent class work, participation, quizzes, and a spiral notebook check.
Tests count as 60% of the grade. Students have the opportunity to improve any grade on a test by re-testing or making corrections. Failing test scores require test corrections with a parent signature.
Homework counts as 10%
Homework will be given almost every night, with the exception of Fridays, and on test
days. Unless otherwise instructed, homework will be due the following day and
graded on completion. Homework that is turned in late will get 10 points off for each
day it is late. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to check Parent Connection for
missing assignments.
Math tests are given on Tuesdays and Fridays.
