Come join the second annual Altrusa International ofCowlitz County Spellebration Adult Spelling Bee. Thisevent will enable Altrusa to continue providing help for The
Emergency Support Shelter, scholarships, and local literacy
programs.
Bring your family and supporters. All team members must
be 21 or older, but everyone is welcome to enjoy the funand participate in the audience.
Words will be selected from the Merriam-Webster Colle-
giate Dictionary. The enunciator will pronounce the word,
give its meaning and use it in a sample sentence. Your
team will have 15 seconds to correctly record your answer
on a white board, which will be veried by the judges.
You are encouraged to get sponsors for your Word Mul-
ligans and your entry fee. Please turn in funds prior to the
event by March 1st. No refunds will be given for unused
Word Mulligans.
A perpetual trophy will be awarded to the rst place team.
Bragging Rights are attached for 1 year then it will bere-awarded next year! Prizes will also be awarded to 1st
and 2nd place team, team with best costumes, team with the
best (or loudest) supporters, most creative speller and any
other prizes at the discretion of the judges and Altrusa of
Cowlitz County, The Breakfast Bunch.

basis.

No! Spelling is done as a team, not as individuals and Word Mulligans are available for just $20 each. So
buy your team plenty of word Mulligans and y by the troublesome words. Collect donations ahead of time
from friends and family.
