Logging into Brightspace requires you to use your NSCAD credentials:

USERNAME= firstname+lastname (no spaces)*.

Follow the forgot you password link to access the NSCAD password manager.

* There are some exceptions to this - those students should be already aware of these modifications

Welcome to Brightspace: Navigating the systemWhen you first access Brightspace you are at the NSCAD home page. You will find some

links to resources contained in the NEWS section. From here you can start to access

your courses. For most of you these courses will be available from 6th September, 2017.

You also have access to community sites and a self help course (Learner Training)

which has resources to help you use Brightspace. The community sites are often

generated by the technical areas of NSCAD. One example is the Multimedia course

environment which provides information on printing, how to log in and so on.

Welcome to Brightspace: Navigating your course

The content section works similar to file folders. The course structure is outlined

in the left hand pane. Click on the table of contents to see everything in your

course. In content your instructor/s may include the following items:

1. Course outline, syllabus or schedule

2. Readings and/or presentation slides

3. Project submission folders (dropbox) or discussion posts.
