This online Faculty & Staff Onboarding Program is designed to help new faculty and staff in their new position by acquainting them with important information about benefits and the various support and service areas on campus and acclimate them into our cultural and social fabrics while preparing you to contribute to a desired level as quickly as possible.

• I-9 Form – Employment Eligibility• Please bring appropriate backup documentation as shown on the back of the I-9

form. A list of acceptable documents is shown on page 9 of the I-9 Employment Eligibility Form.

• Employee Self Service: Accessing Employee Self Service (ESS)As a Clemson University employee, you will receive an employee User ID. Your employee User ID will be used to log-in to computers, check e-mail, submit leave if applicable, and utilize ESS in the Human Resources (HR) database. Once you have obtained your User ID, you can then utilize ESS in the HR database. Note – if you have not been given your employee User ID, after your hire date, you can obtain your User ID by using the On-line Phonebook to look yourself up.  Password FYI’sFor New Hires (first time having a job at CU), your initial password is the last five digits of your SSN, which is a temporary password. You are only able to use this password 5 times before being locked out of the system. Please utilize the Change Password Utility at https://login.clemson.edu/changepass.php to create a new password before your 5 grace log-ins run out. For returning employees, upon rehire, your last password is re-activated. If you do not remember the password, please contact the Help Desk at 656-3494 to have your password reset.

Getting Around Campus

• Everyone who parks a vehicle on campus must immediately obtain and display a valid parking permit.

• All new faculty and staff can be given a 3 – 5 day temporary parking pass. Faculty and Staff permits must be applied for and picked up in the Parking Services Office located at G-01 Edgar Brown Union, Clemson, SC 29634.

• Faculty and Staff who wish to pay for a parking permit through payroll deduction need to fill out the application and the Payroll Deduction Form.

Clemson University requires that all students, employees, and affiliates have an official ID card.  The official ID card is to be in the possession of an individual at all times and presented upon request to any University Official.  The intent of the ID card is for enhanced safety and security on campus. For more information regarding TigerOne Card Services, visit online at: Clemson.edu/tigerone

Getting your TigerOne Card:1. Go to TigerOne Card Services with a photo ID, Clemson username and

password. Your HR Manager can assist you with this username and password.

2. TigerOne Card Services will provide the card and explain the card features.
