Benefits of Dual CreditReduced tuition for dual credit students. Some courses may require payment of fees, books, and supplies. Student earns credit for both high school diploma and college degree/certificate.

Early completion of college degree.

If workforce program certificate is completed, student is ready for employment after high school graduation.Challenging and rewarding coursework.

What’s the cost? Bee County residents receive free

tuition. However there may be course fees which are not free. Students may also have to purchase books.

Students that do not reside in Bee County pay a reduced tuition rate of $30/hour and semester registration fee of $45.

Requirements of Eligibility

Academic

• Junior or Senior high school student• TAKS scores for test exemption: R-2200, M- 2200, W-3 • Approval from high school counselor/Principal

Workforce

• Junior or Senior high school student • TAKS scores R-2100, M-2100, W-2• Approval from high school counselor/Principal

Dual Credit is for YOUBasic (Core) courses transfer Early completion of collegeSome basic courses are needed

as prerequisites to other programs- ex. Dental Hygiene, Radiology, RN, etc.
