13 Who has understood the mind of Yehovah, or instructed him as his counselor?14 Whom did Yehovah consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding?15 Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust. 1 Corinthians 2 – Discerning Spiritual Things9 However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what Elohim has prepared for those who love him"--10 but Elohim has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of Elohim.11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of Elohim except the Spirit of Elohim.12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from Elohim, that we may understand what Elohim has freely given us.

13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of Elohim, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:16 "For who has known the mind of Yehovah that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Messiah.

The Ridiculous Notion that Elohim Could Become a Man

19 Elohim is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.

Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (Numbers 23)

32 "He is not a man like me that I might answer him, that we might confront each other in court.

(Job 9)

Man Made in Elohim’s Image26 Then Elohim said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."27 So Elohim created man in his own image, in the image of Elohim he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1)

The WordIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.2 He was with Elohim in the beginning.3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men.5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. (4th Gospel 1)

Dabar is a very common word in Hebrew, usually rendered word. The BDB Lexicon lists our word as rb'D': n.m. speech, word. The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament (TWOT) gives us these renderings: word, speaking, speech, thing, etc. And the Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament (HALOT) adds matter as another typical translation.

In the KJV dābar (the verb Strong’s 1696) is translated by about thirty different words and dābār (the noun Strong’s 1697) by more than eighty. Some of these are synonyms but many are not. All, however, have

some sense of thought processes, of communication, or of subjects or means of

communication. The noun dābār stretches all the way from anything that can be covered by the word

thing or matter to the most sublime and dynamic notion of the word of God. (TWOT)

The Word of YehovahAfter these things, the word of Yehovah came

to Avram in a vision: "Do not be afraid, Avram. I am your shield, your very great

reward." (Bereshith 15:1)Then the word of Yehovah came to him: "This

man will not be your heir..." (Bereshith 15:4).

Dabar YehovahGerleman notes that the singular construct chain

dabar YHWH "the word of the LORD" occurs 242 times and almost always (225 times) the

expression appears as a technical form for the prophetic revelation (TWOT).

In other words, the word of Yehovah is a direct communication from Elohim. The Word of Yehovah

is Yehovah Himself!

But a careful examination of the usage of this phrase will bear out that the phrase is more than merely a "technical form for the prophetic revelation." The d'var Yehovah is personified in its usage and stands in the place of Yehovah himself. The d'var Yehovah, as a name or title of Yehovah himself, both appears and speaks. The d'var Yehovah is

not merely a message from Yehovah, it is Yehovah himself appearing and speaking.

Elohim Appears to AbramWhen Avram was ninety-nine years old, Yehovah appeared to him and said, "I am El Shaddai; walk before me and be blameless.2 I will confirm my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers."3 Avram fell facedown, and Elohim said to him,4 "As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. (Genesis 17)

Yehovah Again Appears to AbrahamYehovah appeared to Avraham near the great

trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.

Avraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. (Bereshith 18:1-2).

He then brought some curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before

them. While they ate, he stood near them under a tree. "Where is your wife Sarah?" they asked him. "There, in the tent," he said. Then Yehovah said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son." Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which

was behind him. (Bereshith 18:8-10).

When the men got up to leave, they looked down toward Sodom, and Avraham walked along with them to see them on their way.

Then Yehovah said, "Shall I hide from Avraham what I am about to do? (vss 16-17).

The Word Communicates With SamuelNow Samuel did not yet know Yehovah: The

word of Yehovah had not yet been revealed to him. Yehovah called Samuel a third

time, and Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me." Then

Eli realized that Yehovah was calling the boy. (1 Samuel 3:7-8)

That night the word of Yehovah came to Nathan, saying: "Go and tell my servant David, 'This is what Yehovah says...' " (2 Samuel 7:4-5).And the word of Yehovah came to him: "What are you doing here, Eliyahu?" (1 Kings 19:9).The word of Yehovah came to me, saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." (Yirmeyahu 1:4-5).

No one has ever seen Elohim, but Elohim the One and Only (the only one of its kind of class unique), who is at the Father's side, has made

Now leave this land at once and go back to your native land.'"

Israel Knows the Malack is YehovahThen he blessed Yoseph and said, "May the Elohim before whom my fathers Avraham and

Yitzchak walked-- the Elohim who has been my shepherd all my life long to this day, the Angel who has protected me from all harm--

bless these boys (Bereshith 48:15-16).

The Messenger of Yehovah Appears to Mosheh?

There the angel of Yehovah appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Mosheh saw that though the bush was on fire it did

not burn up. (Shemot 3:2).

So Mosheh thought, "I will go over and see this strange sight-- why the bush does not burn up." When Yehovah saw that he had gone over to look, Elohim called to him from within the bush, "Mosheh! Mosheh!" And Mosheh said, "Here I am." "Do not come any closer," Elohim said.

"Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." Then he said, "I am the Elohim

of your father, the Elohim of Avraham, the Elohim of Yitzchak and the Elohim of Ya'acov." At this, Mosheh hid

his face, because he was afraid to look at Elohim. (Shemot 3:3-6).

The Angel of Yehovah Appears to GideonThe angel of Yehovah came and sat down under the

oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing

wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites. When the angel of Yehovah appeared to Gideon, he said, "Yehovah is with you, mighty warrior." "But sir," Gideon replied, "if Yehovah is

with us, why has all this happened to us?

The Angel of Yehovah Appears to GideonWhere are all his wonders that our fathers told us about when they said, 'Did not Yehovah bring us up

out of Mitzrayim?' But now Yehovah has abandoned us and put us into the hand of Midian." Yehovah turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have and save Yisrael out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?" "But Yehovah," Gideon asked, "how can I save Yisrael? (Shoftim [Judges] 6:11-15).

Acts 7:37-8 – Stephen’s Speech37 "This is that Mosheh who told the sons of Yisrael, 'Elohim will send you a prophet like me from your own people.'38 He was in the assembly in the desert, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers; and he received living words to pass on to us.

How Did Yehovah Come to and Communicate with the Ancients?

Often, Yehovah appeared to people as a man, and spoke with them in a human voice

Sometimes Scripture calls him the Word of Yehovah, sometimes the messenger of Yehovah, both of

whom appeared as a man.To say, then, that Yehovah would never come as a

human is contrary to the revelation of Scripture

The Future King is from the Distant Past

But you (Bethlehem) Ephrathah, the least of the clans of Judah, from you will come for me a

future ruler of Israel whose origins go back to the distant past, to the days of old. (Micah

5:1, New Jerusalem Bible)

The Son Born from David is the Mighty ElohimFor to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the

government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty Elohim, Everlasting

Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and

upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of Yehovah of armies will

accomplish this (Yeshayahu 9:6-7).

Psalm 110Of David. A psalm. Yehovah says to my master: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."2 Yehovah will extend your mighty scepter from Zion; you will rule in the midst of your enemies.3 Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy majesty, from the womb of the dawn you will receive the dew of your youth.

Psalm 1104 Yehovah has sworn and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek."5 Yehovah is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.7 He will drink from a brook beside the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

The Torah and the Prophets describe many occasions when Yehovah appeared as a man and

spoke with people.The Prophets also make clear that a son would be

born from David’s line who would be the Mighty Elohim, whose origins are from the distant past.These revelations clearly indicate that Elohim

would be born in human flesh to dwell with men and to rule and reign on earth.

The criticisms about the use of the New Testament to “prove” the deity of Yeshua

MessiahIf Yeshua is the Son of Elohim, we should be

able to prove it from the Tanach (only)Faulty logic?

The Testimony of Yeshua About Himself23 But he continued, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am, you will indeed die in your sins."And so they were saying to Him, "Who are You?"

Yeshua said to them, "What have I been saying to you from the beginning? (4th Gospel 8:25).

Your father Avraham was overjoyed to see my day, and he saw it and was glad." Then the

Yehudim replied, "You are not yet fifty years old! Have you seen Avraham?" Yeshua said to

them, "I tell you the solemn truth, before Avraham was, I AM!" Then they picked up

stones to throw at him, but Yeshua hid himself and went out from the temple area (The 4th

Gospel 8:56-59).

The Works of Yeshua"But I have a testimony greater than that from

Yochanan. For the deeds that the Father has assigned me to complete--the deeds I am

now doing--testify about me that the Father has sent me" (The 4th Gospel 5:36).

The Works of YeshuaThe Jewish leaders surrounded him and asked,

"How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly." Yeshua replied, "I told you and you do not believe. The deeds I do in my Father's name testify

about me" (4th Gospel 10:24-25).

The Testimony About Yeshua from Eyewitnesses13 When Yeshua came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"14 They replied, "Some say Yochanan the Baptist; others say Eliyahu; and still others, Yeremiah or one of the prophets."15 "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"16 Shimon Kepha answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living Elohim."17 Yeshua replied, "Blessed are you, Shimon son of Yonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. (Matthew 16)

Now the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. We saw his splendor--the splendor of the one

and only, full of grace and truth, who came from the Father.... For the Torah was given through Mosheh,

but favor and truth came from Yeshua Messiah.No one has ever seen Elohim. The only one (only begotten), himself Elohim, who is in bosom of the Father, has made Elohim known (The 4th Gospel

1:17-18).

The Testimony of PaulHe is the image of the invisible Elohim, the firstborn of all creation (Colossians 1:15). eikwn “eikon” - likeness, image; form, appearance; statue - an object shaped to resemble the form or appearance of someth., likeness, portrait; that which has the same form as someth. else; that which represents someth. else in terms of basic form and features, form, appearance.

prwtotokoj (pronounced prototokos) from prwtoj, “first” and tiktw ”to bear, bring forth, produce.” This word is found in the Septuagint as translation for the Hebrew rAkB., “bechor” firstborn, lit. pert. to birth order, firstborn, pert. to having special status associated with a firstborn. Also parallel with “only begotten”

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together (Colossians 1:17). This sentence affirms that Yeshua pre-existed before anything was ever created. He himself cannot be created because he existed before all created things. For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His stake; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven (vss 19-20).

You should have the same attitude toward one another that Messiah Yeshua had, who though he existed in the form of Elohim did not regard equality with Elohim as something to be grasped, but emptied himself by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature. He humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death--even death on a stake! As a result Elohim exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Yeshua every knee will bow--in heaven and on earth and under the earth-- and every tongue confess that Yeshua Messiah is Yehovah to the splendor of Elohim the Father (Philippians 2:5-11).

The Testimony of Book of HebrewsAt many times and in many ways in the past Elohim spoke

to the fathers through the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He

made the ages, who being the brightness of the esteem and the exact representation of His substance, and

sustaining all by the word of His power, having made a cleansing of our sins through Himself, sat down at the

right hand of the Greatness on high (Ivrit 1:1-3).

having become so much better than the messengers, as He has inherited a more excellent Name than them. For to which of the messengers did He ever say, "You are My Son, today I have brought You forth"? And again, "I shall be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son"? (Ivrit 1:4-5),

The Testimony of Book of HebrewsAnd of the messengers indeed He says, "... who

is making His messengers spirits and His servants a flame of fire." But to the Son He says, "Your throne, Elohim, is forever and

ever, a scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your reign (Ivrit 1:7-8, quoting Ps 45:6-7).

Summary and ConclusionThe Tanach reveals that Yehovah often appeared as

a man to communicate with mankind.The Prophets predicted that a the Everlasting Father

would be born as a son to David, who would rule and reign.

Yeshua and those around him testified that he is the image and representation of Elohim in human

form.
