Features of SBCC Activities Accomplished under IEC-OP (Oct’18 – Dec ’18)

‐ Planning workshop ‐ Meeting the unmet need for family planning among Rohingya refugees and host communities 

‐ Training of call center agents

‐ Media buy‐in ‐ Service & Campaign week

Planning Workshop The overall objective of the Planning Workshop is to share the annual work plan with other service delivery units of DGFP, DGHS (BHE & IPHN) and NGOs to get feedback and come up with a comprehensive action plan.

The workshop was attended by 41 from different HPN units & NGOs

HPN Unit/NGO level issues to address and inter unit coordination points identified 

‐ Avoid duplication and maximize program coordination

‐ Extensive use of eToolkit and mobile apps for counseling & real‐time monitoring

‐ Uniform use of the contents and modules for any  training/ orientation programs to ensure univocal messages for the target audience

‐ Coordination with local elected body, administration and other ministries to ensure ownership and message sustainability

among Rohingya

communities with UNFPA 

support 

Project Objectives: Unmet need for family planning among refugee and host communities residing in Teknaf and Ukhiya upazilas of Cox’s Bazar district is reduced.

Expected Results/Outcomes:  Increased access to quality family planning services among Rohingya refugees and host communities residing in Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district

Outputs1. Improved capacity of health care providers to 

provide family planning counselling and services 

2. Increased awareness of family planning among refugees and host communities

3. Improved availability of  family planning services

ToT is completed. Training at Ukhiyaand Teknaf Upazila is on going.

Printing of Counselling flipcharts 200 It ensured fidelity of the counsellingintervention, by reminding healthcareproviders to discuss all salient points as pertheir training.

Production of Video clip 1 Video clip developed in Rohingyadialect and actress/actors was fromtheir own community. Thisdocumentary is using in AV Vanshow program

Production of TVCs 4 Four TVCs were developed inRohingya dialect – Condom, ‐ Pill, ‐IUD, ‐ Implant

Fuel for AV van (8 session in eachmonths); 96 sites

16 Frequency of AV Van show isincreased in the communitywhere the video clip and dubdedadvertisement are shown

Call Center Agents Training

A Call Center named Shukhi Poribar (সিখ পিরবার) was activated #16767

The call center agents were trained on basic FP‐RH and counselling issues. This time Ipas is supporting on following issues

MR and PAC services

FP after MR & PAC services

Postpartum Family Planning and its importance

Two batches (two days each) of training was organized for 36 agents
