Welcome to London’s Notting HillCarnival.It is the last weekend of Augustand it is the carnival time in

Notting Hill in London.

Every year this carnival takes place in thestreets: a huge, exciting, noisy street party.

Musicians and dancers comehere from all over the world.

Two million people come here every yearfor a really good time.

About forty-five different groups ofmusicians play loud Caribbean music.People listen and sing and dance.

There are over four hundred food stallshere.

A lot of the food is Caribbean too- hot and spicy!

People eat and drink and talk with theirfriends.

There are clothes stalls here, too, withcolourful carnival T-shirts and sweatshirts,baseball caps and carnival bags.

A lot of the dancers wear colourfulcostumes - red, yellow, green- all colours.

They want to win the Carnival CostumeCompetition.
