SoftballAt this stage we are unsure as to who our next opposition will be.
NetballOur first round for netball will be against Quirindi hopefully in the next two weeks.
School PhotosOur school photos have arrived and have been distributed to classrooms today. Anyone wishing to order sports and group photos may do so by viewing and ordering at the office.
Woolworths Earn and LearnWe will be participating in the Woolworths Earn and Learn programme again this year. From the 9th
of May when shopping at Woolworths you can collect stickers from the checkout operator. These can then be placed on sticker cards (sent home today). There will be one sticker for every $10.00 spent. Once the card is completed it can be brought to school to be placed in the collection box.
Alternatively the stickers can be forwarded to school to be placed on cards held in the office. If you require a new card these can be obtained from the school officeAll completed sticker cards will need to be returned to the office by 20th July, 2012.
Basketball We wish Billy Parsons well as he journeys to Coffs Harbour to take part in the NW Basketball. We look forward to hearing from him when he returns.Together we make a difference! Michael WindredPrincipal

Premier’s Reading Challenge
P. & C. NewsPie Drive The P. & C. Pie drive is back again with pies coming from Watson’s Kitchen at Narrabri. All orders and money need to be returned to school no later than Thursday 24th may. Delivery day for the pies is Thursday 7th June. All orders must be collected after school on this day. If another order form is required they are available from the school office.Thank you for your support
Canteen
Please also note that the canteen will be closed Tuesday and Thursday until further notice as at this stage there are no volunteers available to man these days. If you are able to help in the canteen please do not hesitate to contact the school office to put your name down.

Recipe BookOur P&C recipe book is still in progress & we are currently looking into having the book professionally published during Term 2. If you haven’t sent in a favourite recipe we would love to include it. Recipes may be typed in a Word document and emailed to the school or handwritten and handed into the office. We look forward to receiving your recipes by the end of Week 2 in Term 2 so we can get the printing process underway.
Mother’s Day Raffle & StallTickets in this raffle have been sent home. Could all tickets (sold and unsold) and monies please be returned to school by Wednesday, 9.05.12. If your child requires another book these can be obtained from the school office.
The P. & C. will be holding a Mother’s Day Stall on Wednesday, 9 th
May from 9:00 to 11:00 am. We have a lovely assortment of gifts for the students to buy for $4.00 each.Could you please advise the office if your child requires more than one gift to avoid disappointment. If you are able to help out with the stall we would appreciate your assistance. The Mother’s Day stall will be held in the school hall.

Major Excursion Fundraiser A big thank-you to students for their fundraising efforts in selling chocolates to help reduce the costs of the major excursion. There are still a few families that need to return money owed from chocolates they are selling. Can you please return this ASAP. We have another order of chocolates arriving in the next week.
