Baltic countries
Business operations in the neighbouring regions are
conducted by SOK's local subsidiaries.
At the end of 2013, there were 17 Prisma stores and three
hotels operating in St. Petersburg.
In Estonia, there is Original Sokos Hotel Viru; in December
2013, there were nine Prisma stores.
Latvia has five Prisma stores and Lithuania three.
In the next few years, the number of Prisma stores in St.
Petersburg and the Baltic countries is expected to increase to

S Group's presence in St. Petersburg and the
Baltic countries
Expanding into the neighbouring regions increases the
procurement volumes which, in turn, helps us to maintain
affordable prices both in Finland and abroad.
Through their contact with the tough international competition,
the units abroad boost our competence. After the initial
investments, the operations now generate repatriable profits.
On the other hand, familiar services make it easier for co-op
members to travel in the neighbouring regions.
The annual investments in the neighbouring regions amount to
less than 5% of S Group's total investments.
