Welcome to SummerFun! 2016 The SummerFun Difference: Flexible Schedules, 100+ Fun Classes No two kids are the same. That’s why SummerFun! offers more than 100 fun and creative classes designed and taught by experienced classroom teachers. Full-day, half-day and after-care options lets you choose the schedule that works best for you and your family. Kids of all interests entering grades 1-9 will benefit from small class sizes. All programs are open to students from Arlington and other communities. • Small class sizes • Open to students entering grades 1-9 • Half-day, full-day and after-care options • Single- and multi-week options REGISTRATION INFORMATION To Register: Note: We cannot accept phone reservations for youth programs. 1. Go ONLINE to ArlingtonCommunityEd.org and use a credit card. 2. MAIL completed registration Youth Registration Form (found on inside back cover of this catalog) to: Arlington Community Education, 869 Mass. Ave., Arlington 02476. Credit card transactions may also be faxed: 781-316-3381. 3. VISIT the Community Education office at Arlington High, 869 Mass. Ave; call 781-316-3568 for office hours. Confirmations Confirmations are sent via email when registrations are processed. Changes & Withdrawals • No refunds will be made for classes missed or dropped. • A $25 switch fee is assessed for each requested change in a child’s registration. • All money is returned if ACE cancels a class. • Withdrawals minus a $50 fee per class per student must be made in writing and received by ACE by May 27; after that date, no refunds will be issued. Scholarship Assistance Tuition assistance is available for most classes, to students receiving free or reduced lunch. Please call 781-316-3568 for more information. Discounts Discounts of 15% are given when three or more children from the same family are registered during the same week. PROGRAM INFORMATION Location Classes meet at Ottoson Middle School, 63 Acton St., Arlington, unless otherwise stated. Exact classroom locations are posted on first day class meets. Drop-Off & Pick-Up AM classes run from 8:30-11:30am. unless otherwise noted; doors open at 8:25am. PM classes run from 12:30-3:30pm. unless otherwise noted. Full-day classes run from 8:30am-3:30pm, unless otherwise noted. Children must be picked up promptly at end of class unless other arrangements have been made with program staff. A late fee of $1 per minute is charged for students remaining at the school beginning five minutes after class (or extended day) ends. Lunch Supervised lunch runs from 11:30-12:30 and is FREE for students enrolled in both AM and PM classes; other students may stay for lunch @ $10 per day; see the Camp Director to make arrangements when classes are in session. Note: Children bring their own NUT-FREE snacks, beverages and lunch. Supervised lunch is available at Ottoson, only.
