SPEAKER INFORMATION

CARTER BECK, M.D.

Dr. Beck is the Past President of the Montana Medical Association and Delegate to the American Medical Association. He also serves as the Chair of the MMA Committee on Legislation, Legal, and Legislative Affairs and is a member of the MMA Health Information Technology Committee and the MMA Prescription Drug Abuse Reduction Committee. Dr. Beck practices Neurosurgery in Missoula.

SENATOR EDWARD BUTTREY

Senator Buttrey is a four term member of the Montana Senate fromGreat Falls, representing Senate District 11. He is a Majority Whipof the Senate. Senator Buttrey serves as the Chair of the Business,Labor, and Economic Affairs Committee; and on the Committee onCommittees; Highways and Transportation Committee; LocalGovernment Committee; and the Rules Committee. Senator Buttreywas awarded the MMA Award of Merit in 2015 in recognition of hisLegislative success in getting the HELP Act passed and expandinghealth care coverage to low-income Montanans.

NICOLE CLARK, M.D.

Nicole Clark, M.D., is a Neurologist at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena and a graduate of the 2014 Physician Leadership Effectiveness Program. Dr. Clark completed her fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular Medicine at the University of Utah. She earned both her Medical Degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry with honors at the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed both an internship and neurology residency at the University of Utah. Dr. Clark is the President Elect of the Montana Medical Association and the MMA Alternate Delegate to the American Medical Association.

SPEAKER INFORMATION

GREG DORRINGTON, ESQ.

Greg Dorrington practices at Crowley Fleck’s Helena office as amember of the governmental affairs group and the NaturalResources and Environmental Litigation Practice Group. His practice is focused on project development, strategic counseling, environmental and natural resources litigation, due diligence, and other administrative and regulatory matters. Greg’s practice also encompasses government affairs for the Montana Medical Association and the firm’s natural resources clients.

REPRESENTATIVE JENNY ECK

Representative Eck is a Democrat member of the Montana Legislature from Helena, representing House District 79. She returned for a third terma and is the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives. Representative Eck serves on the Judiciary Committee and the Rules Committee.

JAY ERICKSON, M.D.

Dr. Erickson is the Assistant Dean for Regional Affairs and the Montana WWAMI Clinical Coordinator at the Montana WWAMI Clinical Education Office. Dr. Erickson is a Past President of the Montana Medical Association, a graduate of the MMA’s Physician Leadership Effectiveness Program and currently serves as a member of the MMA’s Committee on Health Information Technology.

SPEAKER INFORMATION

WILLIAM GALLEA, M.D.

Dr. Gallea is the President of the Montana Medical Association. He is a member of the MMA Committee on Legislation, Legal, and Legislative Affairs and the MMA Prescription Drug Abuse Reduction Committee. Dr. Gallea is a graduate of the 2016 Physician Leadership Effectiveness Program. He specializes in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena.

JONATHAN GRIFFIN, M.D.

Dr. Griffin is the Vice President of the Montana Medical Association.He is a member of the MMA Committee on Legislation, Legal, andLegislative Affairs and the MMA Health Information TechnologyCommittee. Dr. Griffin is a graduate of the 2014 Physician Leadership Effectiveness Program. He is the Medical Director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana. He also maintains a solo, private practice as Medical Director of two skilled nursing facilities in Helena.

REPRESENTATIVE AUSTIN KNUDSEN

Representative Knudsen is a Republican member of the MontanaLegislature from Culbertson, representing House District 34. Hereturned for a fourth tern in the House and a second term as Speaker of the House. Representative Knudsen serves on the Federal Relations, Energy, and Telecommunications Committee; and the State Administration Committee.

SPEAKER INFORMATION

SENATOR ALBERT OLSZEWSKI, M.D.

Senator Olszewski, M.D., is a Republican member of the MontanaLegislature from Kalispell, representing Senate District 6. This isSenator Olszewski’s first term in the Senate after serving one term in the House of Representatives. He serves on the Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation Committee; Finance and Claims Committee; Public Health, Welfare, and Safety Committee; Rules Committee; and the Joint-Health and Human Services Committee.

SENATOR SCOTT SALES

Senator Sales is a Republican member of the Montana Legislature from Bozeman, representing Senate District 35. This is his third term in the Senate where he is the President of the Senate. Prior to his service in the Senate, he served four terms in the House of Representatives. Senator Sales serves on the Judiciary Committee; Rules Committee; and the Taxation Committee.

SENATOR JON SESSO

Senator Sesso is a Democrat member of the Montana Legislaturefrom Butte, representing Senate District 37. This is his third term inthe Senate and his third term as the Senate Minority Leader. Prior to his service in the Senate, he served four terms in the House ofRepresentatives. Senator Sesso serves on the Finance and ClaimsCommittee; Local Government Committee; Rules Committee; and Joint-Long-Range Planning Committee.
