The AwardsFAMILY BUSINESS OF THE YEARThis award is open to family-owned businesses where the family’s involvement has spanned at least two generations.

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARDThis category is open to any business no matter what sector. You will need to be able to demonstrate your customer service record and you are able to submit a maximum of five testimonials.

EMPLOYER OF THE YEARStaff are the most important asset of any business. This category is for businesses which demonstrate strong commitment to staff and asses how employees benefit the business.

NEW BUSINESS OF THE YEARThis category is open to any company of any size, including sole traders that have been set up since January 1, 2019. It does not have to be registered for VAT.

COMMERCIAL BUSINESS IN THE COMMUNITY / CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITYThis award is designed to recognise significant achievement and major contribution to local communities without expectation or direct commercial benefit.

BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEARIndividuals may nominate themselves or be nominated by their employers or colleagues. The judges will be looking for a business owner, manager who has made an outstanding contribution to the success or survival of the company.

SMALL MEDIUM ENTERPRISES BUSINESS OF THE YEARThis award is open to businesses from any sector with an annual turnover of up to a maximum of £3m.

BUSINESS GROWTH AWARDThis award is open to companies of any size that have been trading for more than three years and can demonstrate growth strategies that encompass a broad range of activities across their business whether it be in innovation, market development, staff development, strategic leadership and/or improvements in financial measures.

SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE AWARDThis award is to recognise the commitment given to helping young people through education and into employment.

THE INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY AWARD This award celebrates businesses who are prepared to conceive, test and practice new ideas.
