OutpostLibraries
Small yet comprehensive libraries embedded within preexisting community spaces
Purpose: expanding library services and targeting services for a
specific community of patrons
Locations depend on the specific needs and characteristics of communities: Highly-trafficked public spaces, such as markets, malls, and transportation centers can serve as good locations.
Sample services offered: Reference, small lending collections, holds pick-ups, public use computers, library card sign-up
Who said the library had to
be in one defined space?!
We certainly didn’t!
