The US East Coast Activity on November 4 – 9 is organized under the wings of the Nordic Council of Ministers to promote the fast internationalization of selected Nordic high potential start-ups and to showcase the buzzing Nordic start-up scene.
Exciting start-ups and leading investorsMany successful companies and technologies have come out of the Nordics in recent years. This delegation includes eight selected exciting Nordic start-ups within mainly internet & media focus that are all active in or right now starting activities in the US.
The companies have been selected with strict criteria to ensure that these are the very best companies to represent the vibrant Nordic start-up scene. Information about all the companies can be found in this documentation.
The delegation also includes a number of leading Nordic private and public investors in early stage companies. Together these investors have investments in hundreds of companies in the next generation of start-ups coming out of the Nordic region. All-in-all more than 25 think leaders from the Nordic start-up scene participate in the activity!
Pitching sessions and personal meetingsThe ambitious program is a mix of pitching sessions where the start-up companies present to the VC-community and personal meetings with premiere VCs, investment banks, service providers, entrepreneurs, the US start-up scene etc.
Do use this as a unique opportunity to meet exciting Nordic start-ups and to interact with the Nordic start-up scene all gathered in one room!

The Nordic-to-Global InitiativeThe US East Coast Activity 2013 is part of the broad Nordic-to-Global Initiative aimed at providing a fast track to internation-alization to Nordic innovative companies by offering support, relations and insights.
Members of the Initiative are the leading Nordic public early stage investors. These state-owned investors make up a dominant portion of the Nordic early stage market and annually invest in hundreds of exciting new companies in the next generation of Nordic start-ups. Owner and organizer of the Initiative is Nordic Innovation an institution under the Nordic Council of Ministers.
Coordinator for the overall Initiative as well as for the US East Coast Activity 2013, is the Nordic independent private equity advisory firm Nordic Investment Solutions (NIS).
