由 University Settlement’s Family Literacy Program/ESL Program 提供的免費英語班、電腦班。現正招收 2005 至 2006 年度學生、為期九月的程課 ( 由今年九月至明年六月、分兩學期 ) 新學期將于九月六日開課。並無收入、種族、居住地區限制。致力為十八歲以上的市民提供學習英語及電腦技能訓練。

課程著重于提高閱讀、會話、聽力、寫作能力和語法講授、培養電腦運用技能、並指導寫簡歷。

Description:The Family Literacy Program at University Settlement provides a nine-month program, from September to June, which includes ESL classes and basic computer labs for adults above the age of 18. Classes are divided into two semesters. There are no income, ethnic, geographic restrictions and no tuition fees for classes.

* NEW CLASSES WILL START ON 9/6/2005. Students can register on June and July 2005, Monday through Friday, from 9:30am—4:30pm.

Class Schedules:

Levels 4, 5, 6 9:00am-11:00am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday

Levels 3, 4 11:30am-1:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday

Writing Class 10:00am-12:00pm Thursday

Levels 1, 2 10:40am-12:10pm Monday through Friday

Our basic literacy skills program includes ESL classes focused on:

•·       Grammar

•·       Writing skills

•·       Computer skills

•·       Resume assistance

Referral process:

The office is open for registration and information, Monday- Friday, 9:30-5:00. Contact Rosa Rodriguez at (212) 533-6306. There is no particular documentation required for registration, but all students need to register in person for classes.

* There is a $10 book fee for all students.
