Welcome to WAVEWAVE (Wellness, Applied Research and Visionary Education) is an on-site group of clinics where students from George Brown College’s Health Sciences programs provide health and wellness services including dental, hearing and fitness assessments, under the supervision of faculty. Located in a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly building on Toronto’s waterfront, WAVE offers a wide range of economical services for clients of all ages.

Upon arrival at WAVE, please register at our third-floor WAVE Client Services Reception desk.

Full payment is required before your appointment begins in all programs except the following: Denturism clients must pay their accounts in full before receiving their completed dentures and Restorative Dental Hygiene clients must pay their accounts in full after each treatment appointment.

Payment options include Visa, Mastercard, Amex, debit card and cash. We accept ODSP, Healthy Smiles and provide claims for private dental insurance. Fees are in effect as of September 2019. Fees are subject to change.

WAVE Fitness StudiosGet in shape with the help of our personal training services and group exercise classes. The services offered support the learning goals of WAVE Fitness and Health Promotion students and are supervised by program staff. George Brown College invites students, staff and members of the community to participate.

Personal training package includes: – One fitness assessment – Nutrition and fitness counselling – One weekly personal training session for two consecutive terms (9 sessions – Fall term, 5 sessions – Winter term)

– Use of the fitness studios during the regular hours of operation (September to April)

*To meet student outcomes, clients are required to commit to weekly training sessions with a student trainer for two consecutive terms (September through mid-February).

PLEASE NOTE: The mandate of the WAVE Clinics is to support specific course outcomes and student learning experiences. WAVE clients are reviewed and accepted on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to refuse treatment to any client who does not provide an appropriate student learning opportunity.

We require clients who do not speak English to bring a friend or family member to each appointment to translate information.

WAVE Health PromotionGeorge Brown College invites partners and like-minded organizations to collaborate, research and discuss health and wellness issues with our students. Through this platform, our partners and students will research critical issues including child obesity, nutrition and food literacy, disease prevention and more.

SERVICES:Students from a variety of programs will deliver workshops on topics such as healthy eating, how to quit smoking, heart health, diabetes prevention and management, and more. Community groups, schools and local businesses are invited to participate.
