Welcome to FLPS AGM 2017 What is a Friends of…?

The FLPS is an open community of parent volunteers working alongside the school/teachers/and other “friends” to benefit the school and ensure the best educational experience for all its pupils.

Why have FLPS?

• To enrich the education of the pupils of the school by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school (not normally provided by the local education authority).

• Funding request system in place

• Spreadsheets for each event: finances and contacts

• Dedicated cloud drive for document sharing

Funding request system the process used to decide where funds are allocated

• Introduction of a new system to ease recording and communications of how FLPS funds are allocated.

• Members of FLPS, teaching staff and parents complete a proforma that outlines the benefits to the children, specific year groups, quotes and timescale.

• These are reviewed at monthly committee meetings and notification given by email.

• Feedback on this new system has been positive.
