COOMA-MONARO EXPRESS, Thursday, March 28, 2013 - 7 Welcome to Your House Louise Lynch has always had a love of home and giftwares - the little things that give personality to a home. Now, she is sharing that love with Cooma after opening her new shop on 75 Sharp Street ‘Your House’. It’s not Mrs Lynch’s first time running her own shop. About 10 years ago she opened a similar type of shop on the NSW North Coast where she and her family were living at the time. Despite never working in the industry, she saw a market and took the plunge. “I absolutely loved it,” she said. “I always really liked gifts and homewares. “I always said to myself that if the opportunity ever arose I would like to open a shop here [in Cooma] again.” The family moved back to Cooma and Mrs Lynch had been working at Cottle House for the past five years. When Cottle House closed down at the end of last year, and another building she and husband Dean Lynch owned became vacant, it presented the perfect opportunity to reignite her desire to open her own shop in Cooma. Mrs Lynch refitted, painted and renovated the building herself to completely transform the premises. Louise loves gifts and homewares Louise Lynch and Rhonda Russell. “The reaction has been positive,” Mrs Lynch said. “For me that’s satisfying because I did it all myself.” Your House covers everything from gifts, unique pieces, and furniture items to mattresses and linens and quilt cover sets. “I wanted to cover everything. To do things that were different that people hadn’t seen,” she said. “Everything in this shop I picked out and genuinely like.” Your House opened on March 16.
