Confirmation Mentors: If you have passion for your faith, young people, and the church please consider making a commitment to mentor one of our confirmation students. Confirmation will start this October and goes through next May. You would be meeting monthly with your confirmation student to ask them about their confirmation experiences, their lives, and their faith. This is all about relationships and we will support you with a mentor guide and group mentoring sessions. Please prayfully consider this ministry opportunity. YOUTH

TODAY is the Back to School Bash, 6:30-8:00 pm, Meet at

the Salina Field house, 140 N. 5th St.: The whole family is invited to join us for dinner and games as we kick off a new school year. We will be completing a Medical Release Form and a Trinity Permission slip; please have your medical insurance information handy. We will also be signing up for youth meals on Wednesday nights. Check your calendar for possible Wednesday nights you can help with our youth meals. Bring a side dish or dessert to share. Confirmation Student Sign Up Confirmation starts this October and goes through next May. This an in depth study of United Methodist history, beliefs, and values. Over the course of these months we will ex-plore what it means to be a member of the church. There is homework, and students are required to make up classes they miss. This is designed for 7th and 8th grade students, but is open to high school students. Please sign up if you are interested in Confirmation or want to learn more.

Communion Stewards Needed We are in need of a few individuals to help set up and clean up the communion table for the 8:30 am and/or 11 am worship service. Communion is served once a month at these two worship times and is typically the first Sunday of the month. There will be a rotation schedule set up for communion stewards to help with either 8:30 and/or 11 worship. You are welcome to pick the month(s) that work best for you and whether you would like to help with one service or both services that Sunday. Cheryl Mitchell and Pastor Lori Persigehl will provide a training on Thursday, August 23 at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall Kitchen.
