◆ Dinner on the Avila Pier ◆
Chef Pete Kelley will cook for you and your party of ten at the San Luis Yacht Club on the Avila Pier in Avila Beach. The club retains its
authentic seaside flavor, and so does Pete’s cooking. Pete has moved around a bit: his first restaurant was Pete’s Seaside Cafe on Front Street in Avila, later Pete’s Southside Cafe in San Luis Obispo, and then Pete’s Pierside Cafe at Port San Luis.
4
When he’s not behind the grill, Pete is an entertaining historian, and with a little luck he may share some of Avila’s salty secrets, along with plenty of his top-of-the-line cuisine. You can never predict for sure what will be on the menu as it will depend on what’s caught that day. But you can rest assured that you will have a delightful dinner and conversation with the chef. Shoo away the seals and gulls and come on in!
Valid through November 2017 – pick a time when the weather is fine!

IT’S YOUR CHANCETO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR WONDERFUL VOLUNTEERS!11
Homelessness comes in many ways. It’s not just the people you see on the street. You may not know that a third of the homeless
are children and nearly half are women. Yet they are rarely seen and often overlooked and forgotten. Our lifestyles are more fragile than we realize. A life can be changed dramatically by only a misstep or two or by an unanticipated turn of events. Staff members at Prado Day Center frequently hear, “We’ve never had to ask for help before.”When times get tough, we – the Prado family – have an opportunity to rise to the occasion and lend a helping hand. Many passed the man in need before the Good Samaritan took a moment to stop and help.
Tonight it’s your turn – your chance to make a difference. A few of us canhelp in a big way; many of us can help a little bit. We’ve had a good timetonight and we thank you all. Here’s your chance to do one last thing forthe homeless before you leave. Thank you!
