Principal’s Report

Stage 2 swimming

Our Stage 2 students have been enjoying their

swimming sessions over these past few weeks. All have

made personal gains in their confidence and ability.

Our swimming program is only a short, intensive one

and I would encourage all of our families to ensure

that water safety, confidence and swimming practice

continues throughout these warmer months.

Welcome 2020 Kinders!

Our 2020 Kindergarten students will commence their

transition visits this Friday and continue for the next 3

weeks. They have already thoroughly enjoyed

spending time with their big buddies during the last

two buddy visit sessions!

CHORDS – a spectacular event

What a fabulous performance by our choir at this week’s

CHORDS (Choral & Dance Spectacular)! All students are

to be congratulated for putting in such a huge effort

throughout the year, culminating in this wonderful

event. Special congratulations to members of the Core

Choir – Amelia Moon, Tristan Davis & Mattie Makeham.

These children performed at every matinee and evening

performance over the 4 days of CHORDS – as well as lots

of hours of extra rehearsal. A mammoth effort! Thank

you to Mrs Sue Davis for preparing our students.

Students now have to wait until 2021 until CHORDS

comes around again!

Junee Show

The annual Junee Show was held last Saturday 26

October. As usual it was a wonderful community event

for all. Once again our classes showcased their art work

in the pavilion – it looked amazing. A big thankyou to

Mrs Higginson, Mrs Smith, Mrs Lemmich & Miss Turbull

for creating and putting up this wonderful display for

our school.

White Cross Mobile Dental Care

Did you know? Children with poor oral health were

nearly 3 times more likely to miss school due to

dental pain. Tooth decay is the most common

childhood disease, five times more common than

asthma and 3 out of every 5 children are infected by

tooth decay.

It is essential for children to have regular dental check-

ups as tooth decay can be entirely preventable,

educating good oral hygiene will eliminate pain and

prevent major problems in the future.

White Cross Mobile Dental Care will provide all children with a comprehensive examination checking all teeth and gums. Our school visit will take place next week, Tuesday 5 Oct and Wednesday 6 Oct. Places are still available – Application forms are available from the office.
