At St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton we are supporting employee mental health, wellness and engagement through a culture of Mindfulness at work. Our 2014 research study showed that a Mindfulness practice demonstrates lower levels of stress and anxiety, improved perspectives and interpersonal skills. Practice playfulness & teamwork Participate with the St. Joe’s Foundation in our softball, dodgeball and soccer tournaments and challenge yourself with the annual Around the Bay Road Race.

BODYBOOT CAMP: 45 minute circuit class targets arms, legs and abs in a mix of cardio and strength training.

SPINNING: 45 minute guided cycling class on stationary bikes to build cardio and strength.

BOOT CAMP EXPRESS: 25 minute condensed version of Boot Camp that focuses on one body region.

WEIGHT WATCHERS: Weekly on-site support group for nutrition guidelines and weight check-in.

AB EXPRESS: 25 minute class dedicated to strengthening the core (abdominals and back region).

YOGA: 45 minute classes provide both relaxation and rejuvenation, so you can attend at lunch or after work and leave feeling refreshed.

MASSAGE: 15 minute chair massages and/or on unit seated massages offered at all three campuses.

ZUMBA: 45 minute dance class combining cardio, muscle conditioning, and boosted energy set to up-beat music.

RUNNING/ WALKING CLUB: Beginner and experienced runners and walkers meet weekly for 30 to 45 minutes to support and encourage one another and prepare for races.

MEDLEY: 45 minute class through intervals of spinning, upper body, lower body, balance, and postural rehabilitation exercises.
