Great Things Happening! There are a lot of great things going on at Westwood and I pray that you will avail yourself to these as to grow in your relationship with God and others. Last weekend we enjoyed a great Couples Retreat at Hy Lake. We learned how to be better mates and also connected with each other through a great time of study and prayer. This past Monday night Dr. Gilbert and Linda led a great Parenting Class here at Westwood. Those attending learned some really good tips on how to handle certain situations parents are faced with eve-ryday. Be looking for another class in the coming weeks. Last night we enjoyed our 3rd Annual Guys Night Out. This was my first one of these and we just had a great time together. There was some great food (some questionable food) but most important-ly fellowship and friendships were strengthened. Our Amazing Discoveries (Vacation Bible School) is coming this summer and we are asking for EVERYONE’S help. We need this to be a total church effort. So be sure to see Brett or Corey and find out where you can get plugged in! Easter is just a few weeks away (April 16). I want to encourage you to invite your friends and family to come to service that day. People tend to go to church services on Easter and so why not invite them to come to Westwood? This is just another great way to reach people for Christ! Thanks to everyone who participated in our Pictorial Directory. If you missed having your picture made there will be a make-up day on Sunday April 9 - sign up today! We will also have a pizza lunch and Easter Egg Hunt and games for the kids on Sunday April 9 following Sunday School. This will be a very special time for our children. I would love for you to join us tomorrow morning for our Monday Morning Prayer Group. We meet at 7:00 a.m. in the library. I prom-ise there is no better way to start your work week! God is Good All the Time!

Reflections

We live in a pluralistic society. This definitely includes religious pluralism. Since there are so

many world religions out there, can we be sure that Christianity is the right one?

People believe all kinds of religious ideas. Most people appear to be sincere in their beliefs. We

should treat them with gentleness and respect (I Peter 3:15), and do all we can to protect their

rights—as well as our own—to practice religion freely.

We also know that people can be sincerely wrong. It’s impossible that all religions could be right, since they contradict each

other on so many basic points. For example, Buddhism historically denies that God exists (atheism). Hinduism teaches that

everything is part of an all-pervasive, impersonal god (pantheism). Christianity teaches that there is one God who is personal

and who created everything (theism).

Jesus claimed to be “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). He is the only religious leader whose grave is empty. If

Jesus of Nazareth did come back from the dead, then we have a divine miracle on our hands and, thus, strong evidence for the

truth of Christianity.
