Safety Officer
The safety officer coordinates all safety activities including supervision of ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program), ensures safety
in player training, ensures safe playing conditions, coordinates reporting and
prevention of injuries, solicits suggestions for making conditions safer, and reports
suggestions to Little League Headquarters through the ASAP system.

at the Regional Office.
This Clinic will not only provide you with the

The Safety Officer:
Make sure your league’s Safety Plan is submitted to the DA and approved by Little League
Once “approved” by LL, make sure your Safety Plan is FOLLOWED!!!

Perform a pre-season check / inspection of your facilities (fields, dugouts, fencing, lighting, concession stand, etc)
Perform a pre-season check / inspection of your league’s equipment (make sure damaged / unsafe equipment is repaired or discarded)

The Safety Officer:
Assist Managers in providing safety training to players
Coordinate reporting of all injuries (obtain copies of all Injury Reports from your league and forward a copy to the District Safety Officer)

Based on a review of injury reports, make suggestions to the BOD on actions to be taken to possibly prevent injuries
Solicit suggestions from players/managers/coaches on making conditions safer
