What are the Seatrade Awards?

The Seatrade Awards have established themselves as the premier maritime awards scheme worldwide, and is often referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of the international shipping industry. The scheme rewards innovative solutions for safe, efficient and environmentally friendly shipping, in keeping with the goals and objectives of the International Maritime Organization.

Lifetime Achievement Award 2011*This award is to honour an individual who has made a significant and lasting contribution to shipping and the maritime industry.

Seatrade Personality 2011*Awarded to an individual who has made a major contribution to the shipping industry in any field.

Young Person in Shipping 2011*Presented to an individual under 40 who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry.

Global Performer 2011*Awarded to a company or organisation that has made a major contribution to the shipping industry in any field.

Seatrade Special Award for Countering PiracySeatrade will be presenting a special award to recognise an individual or organisation that has made a significant contribution to the fight against piracy.
