What is a "Found Poem"?

It is a poem that you can create by using the words or phrases that you get from reading an informational article to create your own original

poem about another topic.

We are going to create a "Found Poem" based on the article

Steps to create your poem:

1.) Actively read the article by underlining words or phrases that interest you.

2.) Take those words or phrases and start to move them around and piece them together.

3.) Keep in my mind what other topic you can describe using the words and phrases you chose from the article.

4.) Write your "Found Poem" (It should be at least 5 lines)

5.) Add a title
