Bow to Stern (290 Blackwell Point Loop Road): Visit Bow to Stern Boating Center to enjoy the local

waters of Oriental. Kayaks, Stand-Up Paddle Boards, Sailboats and Power Boats are all available for rent or Bow to Stern can provide a captain to take you out on your boat of choice. You can call ahead at 252-474-6000 for more information or visit them online at www.bowtosternboating.com.

The Tiki Bar & grill opens daily at 4pm.

The Bean Ice Cream and Coffee (304 Hodges St) offers fresh coffee, ice cream and pastry. Open early AND late- 6AM-7PM Thurs-Sun.

Brantley’s Village Restaurant will have cold bottled water available on the porch each day for Coastal Ride Participants – Stop

by, grab a bite to eat and snag a cold bottle of water to go!

Thursday, April 27th

Cycle NC Packet Pickup & Check-in – Open from 10am to 7pm at the Oriental

Town Hall (507 Church St, Oriental, NC). There’s no need to worry if you can’t make it before 7pm on Thursday! Just set up camp along the waterfront at Lou Mac Park and then come see us at Town Hall on Friday Morning to get check-in. We’ll be open and ready to go by 8am Friday morning.

Visit the Oriental Local Welcome Tent and Cycle NC Rider Services area at

the Oriental Town Hall for your local information.

Once you are checked in, settled and have your campsite set up, make sure you head out to a locally owned Oriental Restaurant and enjoy some great food and

live entertainment. They’ve got plenty of great specials just for Cycle NC participants.

Thirsty? Head to The Silos restaurant at 1111 Broad Street Ext. and enjoy

$1 beer specials. www.silosnc.com

M&Ms Café - Fiesta Thursday- $5 margaritas, Mexican food specials.

Friday, April 28th

Early risers, the Bean Coffee Shop in Oriental will be open at 6:00 am if you want to take a short walk or quick bike ride to get a

light breakfast or a cup ‘o joe. Brantley’s Restaurant will be open at 7am and offers breakfast items off the menu or choose their breakfast buffet option. There will be a special “express” menu for those who want to get in and get out. Don’t forget about the Oriental Deli and Subs as they have breakfast items for sale. Café Campesino will also be set up and ready at the waterfront campsite for those of you needing coffee earlier than 6am!

Kayaking: Guided paddle tours of two hours or less beginning at 2:00pm

leaving from the Wildlife Ramp at the end of Midyette St. (see town map for directions) Kayaks, canoes, vests, and paddles are available or you can bring your own. Donations to the Neuse River Keeper accepted. Contact Bill Hines at [email protected] or Larry Summers at [email protected] if interested.

Wine Tasting: Wines for Spring. There will be a complementary wine tasting at

Nautical Wheelers from 4pm to 6pm on Friday. www.NauticalWheelersNC.com.

Cycle NC Bike Swap – Stop, Swap and Save. Make sure you bring your extra bike(s), old, new and odd bike parts and gear. Basically anything you might be willing to make a buck or two off of. More details to come regarding exact time and location.

Live Music at the Silos! – Located at “Oriental’s Favorite Joint” will be an outdoor music special with a live band, food and

great tasting beer. Stop by and enjoy fun evening outdoors. www.silosnc.com

Oriental Ghost Walk – Do you like ghost stories? If so, sign up for this walking Ghost Tour of Oriental. Your tour leader will take

you on a one hour walk through the town, telling the many stories, both bizarre and funny, about historic murders, hangings, cursed hurricanes and Blackbeard himself! All tours begin at Lou Mac Park. Limit is 25 people per tour. Cost is $10 per person. Call ahead reservations are preferred. Tours are 8:30pm and 10:00pm. Call 919-630-2592 for reservations.

Saturday, April 29th

The Yoga Studio: Looking for a way to get your body ready for today’s riding? If so,

grab your yoga mat and head on over to the Yoga Studio to get a little downward dog in before hitting the road. This multi-level class begins at 9:00am until 10:15 am at the Yoga Studio located at 705 Broad Street. If interested in participating in this class, email Susan at [email protected].

Oriental Farmers Market: Visit the Oriental Farmers’ Market, located on Hodges Street between South Water Street and the

Oriental Harbor. The Farmers’ Market features products that are locally made, locally grown, locally baked and roasted. More information can be found by visiting www.OrientalFarmersMarket.com. Hours are from 8am to 11am but some food vendors may be open as early as 7am.

Stop by the CNC Coastal Ride beverage garden at the River Neuse

Suites Lawn from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm and grab yourself a cold frothy drink. Riders will have a great time catching up on old friendships, recapping the days ride and enjoying the best views in Eastern North Carolina.

CNC Coastal Ride Social (included in registration) – The Coastal Ride Social where all registered participants eat FREE, will be located at the Waterfront Campsite along South Avenue. Dinner (Fried shrimp, chicken and flounder with slaw, stewed potatoes, hushpuppies, banana pudding, and tea (sweet/unsweet) will be served from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Don’t forget to stop by the CNC Coastal Ride beverage garden for your complimentary frothy brew!

CNC Coastal Ride Musical Entertainment: In addition to the Coastal Ride Social, from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm, we’ll have some good ole southern, front porch music by Moore’s Creek Bluegrass band to get those hands clappin and feet tappin! Make sure you bring your bag chairs. Stop by the Ol’ Front Porch Music Festival table to pick up some festival t-shirts and donation buttons as they get ready for their front porch festival coming in October.
