EPIC OF EDEN - Epic of Eden is the title for our next Bible Study in January when CommUNITY groups start back. In Epic of Eden, Dr. Sandra Richter jumps into the Old Testament to communicate a history of God’s redeeming grace, weaving together a story that runs from the Eden of the Garden to the garden of the New Jerusalem. SeaWorld Trip February 16th-17thThis trip is for 3rd-5th graders! Gift certificates are available. We have One Year Bibles for only $10 each! The One Year Bible provides you with a section of Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs daily. And it only takes about 10 minutes to read it all! We all need to be in Gods Word daily, but for a lot of us, we just need a plan to make it happen. The One Year Bible has the entire year laid out for you so all you have to do is open it each day and read the assigned scrip-tures! Come by the church office and get your One Year Bible for 2018.

Mike Keeley is New Director of MusicThe Staff-Parish Relations Committee is thrilled to announce that Mike Keeley will be joining the staff at Porterfield as Director of Music Ministries, effective January 15. Many in our congregation remember that Mike held this position before at our church for seven years in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and we are delighted to again share in ministry with him. His gifting with respect to directing choirs, planning and organizing, and overall talent with worship arts will make him an outstand-ing addition to our team. Our church will also benefit from Mike’s expertise in media and technology. We are thankful that the Lord has brought Mike and Porterfield together at this juncture of our ministry! Mike and his wife, Shelley, have two adult children. We encourage PMUMC members to connect with Mike through e-mail at [email protected].
