In other news, we are anticipating renovations to begin in Q4 of 2017 on guest rooms and suites in the Stanley Thompson Wing. These soft goods renovations focused on items such as carpeting, draperies, cushions and amenities within the rooms. RENOVATED ROOMS

Extensive renovations during the winter season, to be complete summer of 2017, will introduce an exciting new property. Keeping with the hotel’s existing exterior design, the hotel interior has been transformed to complement the mountain lodge design. The addition of an expansive breakfast room, coffee bar, fitness facilities and guest laundry highlight the ‘new’ ground floor. Guest rooms, 112 in total, have been refurbished to offer modern accommodation, themed with rustic, mountain touches. All rooms will include individual climate control, a mini-fridge and microwave; while larger suites will offer kitchenette facilities.

DISCOVER BANFF TOURSLAUNCHES BANFF – VANCOUVER TOUR, WESTERN CANADA EXPLORER

Replacing Mountain Quest beginning in the spring of 2017. Discover Banff Tours will offer a regularly departing 2-day sightseeing tour between Vancouver and Banff. The tour will depart 3 days a week from Banff and 3 Days a week from Vancouver. The guided tour will overnight at the Historic Plaza Hotel in Kamloops, includes lunch, breakfast and numerous viewpoints and stops between the two locations. The tour will run from May through to early October. Product is export ready.

MT. NORQUAYMT . NORQUAY SUMMER SIGHTSEEING CHARLIFT AND VIA FERRATA

The FREE shuttle service from the Town of Banff to Mt. Norquay resort will see an increase to hourly departures for the summer of 2017. Starting at 8am and operating through 5pm it will allow guests to leave the car conveniently parked in town and take a shuttle to Mt Norquay. There, guests can try the sightseeing chairlift, or a Via Ferrata climbing experience. Guests are able to board the sightseeing chairlift with no waits nor pre-arranged times required. The sightseeing chairlift accesses the Cliffhouse Bistro for craft beers and meals plus the staging area for Via Ferrata tours. The FREE

shuttle will also operate with additional departures during peak periods as demand warrants. Product is FREE and connects with export ready services.

CALGARY STAMPEDEFOODIE AT HEART

The Parade is changing direction. When the 2 hour Parade begins on Friday, July 7, at 9:00am the route will be reversed and will see the marching bands, floats and horses lead the way to Stampede Park.
