Enhance and test the online surveillance system for the three wheat rusts

Prepare the handling of raw data of stem rust and yellow rust virulences

The Wheat Rust Toolbox – Opportunities for a new yellow rust initiative
1. Surveillance: Enhance the online surveillance system for early warning – all wheat rusts (FAO +).
2. Wheat host: Include Trap Nursery data (all rusts) into the database - Wheat Rust Nursery Data Information System (ICARDA/CIMMYT +)
3. Pathogen: Interactive Genotype Analysing Tool combining pathogen genotypic and -phenotypic data (dynamic naming system) (GRRC, DRRW partners, +=). We did that for potato late blight
4. Epidemic risk analyses: Combine the host and the pathogen data enabling us to predict about the future.
5. Networking: Improve the integration of data and interactive tools with existing partner information systems, e.g., FAO, Rust Mapper (CIMMYT +), ICARDA tools etc.
