I voted for Monday. I know that it is probably wishful thinking on my part.
When Jim promises that one will be coming very soon, I want to believe him.
When Eyal promises that one will be coming very soon, I want to believe him.
I hope I wont be let down.

The skeptic in me wants to say Never, but since this involves another company, something
must be said if Invicta wants to keep any reputation it has intact.
My guess is they'll do like the government does - it will be released right before the July 4
holiday (since it concerns the US Market). Hopefully it won't be too little too late.

In Mr. Becker's D-D letter he said there was no such pa
customer of D-D. As a result D-D will have very little to contribute to this joint report. Invicta
will have a lot of explaining and I'm sure any statement will be reviewed if not written by It!s
legal department.

I said never. I just cant understand while nothing yet. Even just a quick status saying they
are working on it. This is no longer about DD. Its about the integrity of Invicta.

There is a reason for the delay. Invicta has hired Isaiah Mustafa to deliver the news. If you
don't know Isaiah Mustafa, he's the actor in the Old Spice Commercials.
I'm lucky enough to have receive a screen capture and copy of the script. Hope you enjoy.
"Hello, geeks, look at your watch, now back to mine, now back at your watch, now back to
mine. Sadly, yours may be broken, and we apologize. Look down, back up, where are you?
You’re on my Invicta yacht with the watch of your dreams. What’s in your hand, back at me.
I have it, it’s an oyster with a yellow box containing that watch you love. Look again, the
yellow box is now diamonds. Anything is possible when Invicta is at the helm. I’m on a
horse."

There is really no upside for Invicta if they make a statement. First of all, WGs makes up a
minority of their bottom line. Although, some will go away unhappy without having their
questions and doubts answered and mitigated, respectively, most of Invicta's customers will
not be the wiser. Anything Invicta officially states will be a matter of record to be paraded
around every and all watch related websites, for better or for worse. Honestly, if I was
Invicta, if I didn't have any legal obligation to make any statement, I would not.
My gut instinct tells me that - for the sake of sales and marketing - things were said and
asserted that were simply not true. Yes, the movement is genuine (I'm willing to accept that
at face value because that's what was said officially here), but I doubt highly that DD worked
"closely" developing this watch with Invicta. I also doubt highly that some missing module,
or washer, is responsible for the variety of issues that - as I have read here on this forum -
affected the Speedway Elite. If anything, I believe that sloppy quality control and poor
materials were mainly responsible for the relatively high failure rate of this watch model.
According to what I have read on IW, the sagging global economy has caused the
manufacture of watches to fall by a highly significant amount in the last year. That's got to
put some pressure in small watch marketing venues such as Invicta.

Why would Invicta make any statement, what do they gain from that other than more people
finding out about it than the small number of people in watch forums that already know.
As many others have stated if every member here never bought another Invicta watch it
would not even show up on the balance sheet...IMO Eyal does not care what members here
think...I may be wrong but i doubt it...he has a fudiciary responsibility to the investment
company that owns Invicta...making a public statement could only hurt their investment

I think we should start a poll about how many more threads on this subject are going to be

Outside of the statement from the U.S. DD representative Chris Becker which already is a
negative (AKA "hurts the company") . . . . . a statement by Invicta would give a level of
damage control to the situation, if that is even possible.

Why would any statement ever be issued ? The damage is done, and they have clearly
screwed the pooch and have been caught. If you are expecting a response from anyone
involved, you are in for a long wait and a lot more aggravation.

Never, unless DD forces them to do it. Lets face it, only a small percent of people who buy
Invicta watches go onto forums, and that percent is not large enough for them to care what
you think. JMHO

This should be interesting since from What I understand Invicta says it partnered with DD
and DD says otherwise, You bet the Lawyers are making their pay now, I believe something
has to be said or it's going to fester

Note:
This is NOT political only my personal perspective.
Really could care less!
Whether they do or don't life goes on. In the greater scheme of things it is as important as a
single grain of sand on a beach.
But I bet it will be sometime before BP stops the leak or unemployment falls below the 9 -
10%, both of which is far more significant and effecting far more lives, then a handful of
movements.
I know the movement in my timepiece to be authentic and I believe they were obtained by
legal/lawful means. Did DD work directly, indirectly, at all with Invicta. Don't care!
What the problem is and/or how it occurred? Interesting reading, but don't care.
How it will be corrected, interesting but since I am not the one making the repairs, don't
care.
So why don't I care regarding this timepeice, because it has no effect on my life or a
majority of life.
What DO I care about with regards to this timepiece?
That I have a completely functional timepiece - I do!
That IF a problem arises in the future it will be taken care of - It will!
BTW - these have no effect on my life or the majority of life either.
So my suggestion for today - for all the present and future dad's, have a Happy Father's
Day.

It really makes no sense for them to say anything more about this festering turd of a watch
they hoisted upon the unwitting public. Sooner or later people will move on and it will get
brushed under the rug. It is the Clinton school of how to handle a scandal, I am just waiting
to see if the proverbial stained blue dress comes to light.

The CEO of a rather large watch company was basically called a "liar" at his own sponsored
website. Then there was evidence brought forward to support that claim. This can not be a
good thing. If he(Eyal) never says anything about It then he Is guilty as charged, at least In
many peoples minds. Many consumers who buy watches and other Items do research, the
Internet Is a wonderful tool. To have something like this hanging over ones head cant be
good for business. Maybe Im wrong, It would not be the first time. I just dont see a
"statement" of any kind comming after all this time has passed, I voted never.

Since I own this watch and mine works fine, I think your terms "festering turd" are a bit
strong. I think you might be correct with your overall opinion, just be careful about your

I am happy you got a working one but, anything with a 50% catastrophic defect rate earns
that title. How would you feel about a new car that would only start 50% of the the time or,
a specific model TV that 50% did not work, it is a lemon of epic pr
offend you but, what would you call it?
