Using the WhiteRIP Color Library is very easy, once opened Illustrator, please follow the instructions below:
1. From the window “Color”, select the “Swatches” panel
2. Click on the little arrow placed on the right of the panel and select, in this order, the voices “Open
Swatch Library” and, from the next panel, “Other Library” as pictured below.
3. Now you can load the library that you will find at this location:
“C:\WhiteRIP\library\WHITE_RIP_COLOR_LIBRARY_SWATCHES.ai”
4. The library will be now present on the list of color libraries, ready to be used.
Printing the WhiteRIP Color Library In order to print the WhiteRIP Color Library, open WhiteRIP, from the “Tools” menu, click on the following
icon and the Color Library will automatically open and will be ready for printing.
The print of the Color Library needs to be done always with the same specific color profile.
Tracing back the desired color swatch After having prepared the WhiteRIP Color Library, in order to trace back the desired color Swatch, you will
need to compare it with the color you need to reproduce. To identify the code, you will need to find the
column and row, like in the following example.
Once done, you should have the exact values to identify the color in your Library, from which you will be
able to extract the correct RGB values. In the example above, the code of the color we needed is CL03L11.
