Here’s how to determine how much wine you need:

a. Number of guests attending the reception

b. Reception length and time of day. It’s likely more will be consumed during evening hours.

c. Options you plan to pour (e.g. beer, mixed drinks). Estimate how many guests drink wine vs. beer or soft drinks.

d. Estimate a 5 oz. glass per hour, per person; perhaps more if later in the evening.

e. Sparkling wine typically is served as a toast or with wedding cake. A good estimate is 3 oz. per person served.

f. Each 750ml bottle holds 25 oz., so plan on eight servings of bubbles per bottle, or five servings of wine per bottle.

g. A case of wine has 12 bottles, so that’s 96 servings of sparkling wine or 60 servings of wine per case.
