WHY SHOULD WE STOP DEFORESTATION?We should stop deforestation because we need these forests for our future. In 192 years there will be nothing left of the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. Think about the wildlife and animals and how beautiful it is just to leave it the way it is. If we need wood we can plant trees somewhere else and do some logging there. The rainforest provides a lot for this world and we need to keep it. This Rainforest came with the earth and it will stay here. It provides us oxygen because of lots of Photosynthesis is happening in those Rainforest. Also loggers are making the climate change because cutting down these trees.

As you can see here this used to be a Rain Forest but now just a waste land full of chopped down trees because of loggers and might be used for something else later

Dont waste paper! Save the tree!

WHAT CAN WE DO?

-Think Twice before Printing As for printing practices in and around the office, we all know the drill: print only if you really have to, print on both sides of paper, and use post consumer recycled paper, available at stores like Office Depot, among others.- Reduce Your Consumption of Paper Products: Buy cotton handkerchiefs, reusable cloths and sponges for the kitchen, rags to mop the floor, and toilet paper with a high percentage of post customers content. -Plant a Tree To replace the trees that has been cutting down and also to let us have oxygen to breathe in. -Reuse Things Reuse the things that you think we can use it again. Not throwing it away and waste things.

What is the government doing to stop Logging? The British Government is spending 10m to stop deforestation in Brazil as part as a multi-billion fund to stop climate change. The money will stop illegal logging in the Cerrado, scrub forest in central Brazil that is rapidly being cleared to make way for food crops for the rich world.

Areas Being Cut Down in AmazonLoggers are cutting down trees in the Amazon rainforest at twice the rate of previous estimates, according to a new analysis of settlement images of the region. Earlier attempts to gauge the scale of deforestation were not sensitive enough to spot the occurrence of selective logging - the cutting down of individual trees without clearing the surrounding forest. Areas of the rainforest in AmazonWhat are the Causes of Deforestation? The deforestation causes include many factors. The destruction of the forests is occurring due to various reasons, one of the main reasons being the short-term economic benefits. Corruption at the government institutions, wealth and power due to harvesting of the riches of the forest, population growth and urbanization are some of the common causes.-Agriculture-Grazing Land-Used for Fuel-Commercial Purposes-Illegal LoggingWhat are the Effects of Deforestation? There are a number of adverse effects, that include environmental and economical. Some of these effects are discussed below:-Erosion of Soil-Disruption of the Water Cycle-Loss of Biodiversity-Flooding and Drought-Climate Change
