What Is Worship? It is action motivated from a heart of reverence for the Divine Creator, with knowledge of who He is and what He has done for us. Gen. 1:1; Jn. 3:16; Heb. 12:28 •Must worship Him in our temple! 1 Cor. 6:19-20; Rom. 12:1-2

We Want To Be Acceptable To God! • Right Object: God, Jehovah, Creator

– We endeavor to become like the object of our worship… 1 Pet. 1:15-17

• Right Attitude: In spirit – With sincere respect and awe of the Creator

and our fellowship with Him… John 4:23-24 • Right Way: In Truth… by His instructions Mt. 28:18; Jn. 17:17

God Demands It • Because we’re to worship the one true God

and nothing else. Matthew 4:10 • Our worship must be acceptable to God:

– Must know God and His will for man… Mt. 7:21 – Do the will of the Father, as Christ

Jn. 6:38; Mt. 17:5

When We Worship… • We remember Christ.

Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 11:23-ff; 1 Cor. 10:16 – We also proclaim His death until He comes

back. • We teach and admonish one another.

Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16; Mt. 26:30 – We also let the word of Christ dwell in us

richly.

When We Worship… • We talk to God.

Acts 2:42; 1 Thes. 5:17; 1 Tim. 2:8 – We also proclaim God’s name everywhere.

• We teach the Word of God. Acts 2:42; 2 Tim. 4:1-4; Mt. 28:18-20

• We give. 1 Cor. 16:1-2; 2 Cor. 9:6-8; 2 Cor. 8:1-5

We Love God With Our All! Matthew 22:37-39

• We prove our LOVE to God by keeping His commandments. Jn. 14:15; 1 Jn. 5:3

• With all our heart, willingly… Eph. 6:6 • We want to do God’s will and shall delight

in doing it. Jn. 7:17; Phil. 2:13; Ac. 20:35 • So we can love our neighbor as self! Set right example… Mt. 7:12

Worship God! • Worship of God is only part of His will for

mankind. Revelation 19:10; Mt. 28:18 • One must also obey the gospel 2 Thes.
