Example
Wikipedia, one the largest and most well known wikis is a collaboratively created encyclopedia, owned by no one and authored by tens of thousands of users.
It is 10 times bigger than Encyclopedia Britannica and roughly the same accuracy.
It runs on a wiki platform and allows for users to edit pages

Content & Access & Points of Consideration
Accessibility: How open are we willing to be?
Transparency: Who can see what?
Responsibility: Who is responsible for what?
Sensitivity: How sensitive is the ‘content’?
A good Wiki platform allows for the site admin to configure the environment in a way that is consistent with the goals of the initiative.
